Dru grew up in Boston Massachusetts. As a child he excelled in football, basketball and track. He became fascinated with bodybuilding & fitness after watching Pumping Iron while snowed in during a blizzard.

He started reading magazines, articles online, youtube videos etc still not having step foot in a gym. One year later he moved to Tampa and worked construction during the day and was a bouncer at night. 2 years of 12 hours a day in the Florida heat then working nights was enough.

He decided fitness was where his passion was and started training clients full time. Dru also started preparing for his first bodybuilding competition. Since then Dru has trained clients all over the country, competed on a national level in bodybuilding, was director of a gym, coached bodybuilders for competitions and has worked for some of the biggest supplement companies in the U.S.
He is a natural behind the camera and “Big Dru” is well known throughout the fitness industry for his workout videos, promotional work and nutritional advice.
